This was our second visit, two years after our first meal at Pant-Y-Gwydr. We were excited to return and despite our high expectations we were not at all disappointed. The meal was superb, with exquisitely balanced flavours and attention to detail. The menu is clearly well practiced with limited variation, but it doesn’t matter as there is plenty to choose from. We had two children in our party (aged 9 and 13) and whilst there isn’t a children’s menu we were able to use a couple of options modified to accommodate them. Children with unsophisticated palates might not be as well catered for. The interior appears to have been redecorated since we last visited and it felt more homely and comfortable than our first visit. The location of the restaurant is out of keeping with the quality of the food and service, but do not let that put you off from visiting.

We had a 50th birthday party of 13 people in January. Everything was just perfect! The food was magnificent, the service was excellent, the atmosphere was perfect. This is by far the best restaurant in Swansea. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Outstanding... Hearty, authentic French food full of flavour in a family run restaurant. Highly recommend the creme brulee and ice creams, all home made. Also the dauphinois potatoes. Lots of great vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. Staff were really friendly. Don't miss this place if you're visiting Swansea

delicious food. I'm French and the couscous was like back home. The chocolate dessert is enough for 4 people

Excellent and delicious French cooking served efficiently and promptly. Our party of three had scallops, fish soup and onion soup starters which, were all excellent, followed by duck, lamb and hake for mains, which were also beautifully tasty. Deserts were amazing, tarte tatin and a medley of chocolate deserts presented as a hard-boiled egg amongst others. We were stuffed! The atmosphere was sub-optimal because we ate early and the restaurant was almost empty, and the decor is rather functional, albeit authentic.

Absolutely outstanding - a real hidden gem on the edge of Swansea's central shopping district. Authentic French cuisine prepared to perfection in an unassuming, relaxed and quiet environment. Family owned and operated and although not exactly offering 'everyday' pricing, it's far from exorbitantly expensive for what it is, and when compared to other establishments. It's a perfect venue for family events/celebrations, meet-ups with friends - you'll be glad you've found it and will soon be recommending it to all of your friends!

Excellent quality genuine French food without a premium price. I was impressed with the customer service and the presentation in addition to every single dish had, which in turn is a mix of modern cuisine and classic inspirations.

Brilliant meal and excellent service. Couldn't fault it at all! The dishes were authentic and cooked to perfection, the menu choices and wine list were excellent and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely recommend for a special occasion or a treat. We will be returning.
